Tribe 8 is an all-women outspoken dyke punk band from San Francisco, USA. It is considered one of a number one queercore groups. It choose their title from either a practice of tribadism.

Tribe 8 has experienced a few shifting of personnel, however Lynn Breedlove, Flipper, and Leslie Mah (formerly of Anti-Scrunti Faction) are uniform members. Crane-like, lead singer Lynn oft performs bare-breasted, wearing the strap-on dildo, and encourages audience members to interact by owning it. Their songs typically treat using cases like S & M and the band has been the subject of controversy because of this.

Outside of the band, Lynn Breedlove is too andy skinner of Godspeed, published within 2002. Leslie Mah has appeared within various films including The Yo-Yo Gang by G.B. Jones; White Boy Shut Up, co-directed by Vu T. and Thu Ha; and produced her own film, Estrofemme, in 1998, besides appearing in movies with Tribe 8.

Inside 1996, a band processed its screen debut inside A Gun For Jennifer, directed by Todd Morris. A band performs sleep in a documentary ''She's Real, Worse Than Queer by Lucy Thane, released in 1997. Too, members of a band come interviewed, speaking just about the range of topics including the development of the queercore music scene. Within 2003 a film Rise Above: A Tribe 8 Documentary, by director Tracy Flannigan, was released, documenting non exclusively performances per b& however, too, a motivations & reasons behind a band and a a portion it plays in their shacks.A motion picture has won several awards at film festivals throughout a U.S. & created the fresh audience for Tribe 8.
